About Us

R Design Studio is a design practice established in 2016, primarily focusing on the field of architectural design. The studio is actively engaged in designing and building functional and aesthetically sound spaces, responding to the requirements of both public and private clients.

The practice delivers design solutions that balance creativity with modern-day requirements, aesthetic clarity with cost efficiency, and design intent with practical execution. Over the years, it has worked across a wide range of projects of varying scales and complexities, with a continued emphasis on quality, honesty in design, and client satisfaction.

Work Philosophy

The studio approaches architecture with a clear understanding of its wider disciplinary context, recognising design as both its core strength and guiding principle. Each project is explored through an open and iterative process, allowing ideas to evolve in response to site, programme, and context before arriving at a clear and coherent design resolution.

Careful attention is given to functionality, form, and detailing to develop architectural solutions that are purposeful and efficient. The design process integrates practical considerations such as budget, timelines, and available technologies, ensuring that proposals remain realistic, buildable, and aligned with the defined parameters of each project.

Design Process & Collaboration

R Design Studio strongly believes in design as a process rooted in dialogue and collaboration. Each project is led by a project head, ensuring clear communication and coordination between the client, architects, engineers, and consultants.

The use of drawings and three-dimensional models plays an important role in communicating design intent and facilitating informed decision-making throughout the project. This collaborative approach allows engineering and technical considerations to be integrated into the design from the early conceptual stages, resulting in a smooth and well-coordinated execution process.

Scope of Practice

The practice undertakes work across multiple scales and disciplines, addressing projects from initial concept through to detailed design and execution. Its scope encompasses architectural design, interiors, construction and turnkey delivery, landscape and exterior development, and design visualisation, allowing for an integrated and coordinated approach to project development.

Each commission is approached with an understanding of site, context, and client requirements, supported by careful planning, technical coordination, and design management. This breadth of practice enables continuity across all stages of a project, ensuring clarity of intent and consistency from design conception to completion.

Architectural Design

The practice undertakes architectural design across residential, commercial, and institutional projects, responding to site conditions, functional requirements, and contextual parameters. Each project is developed through careful planning, design detailing, and coordination to ensure clarity from concept to execution.

Interior Design

Interior design is approached as an extension of the architectural intent, with emphasis on spatial quality, functionality, and material coherence. Designs are developed to support usability while maintaining consistency with the overall design language of the project.

Construction and Turnkey Works

The studio provides construction and turnkey solutions, managing execution through coordinated planning, supervision, and quality control. Close attention is given to cost, timelines, and on-site coordination to ensure effective project delivery.

Landscape and Exterior Design

Landscape and exterior design are developed in relation to the built form and natural context of the site. The approach focuses on spatial continuity, usability, and long-term integration with the surrounding environment.

3D Visualisation and Planning

Three-dimensional visualisation and planning tools are used to communicate design intent clearly and support informed decision-making. These tools assist in evaluating spatial relationships, design options, and execution feasibility during the design process.
